Default Bilateral midoot pain / tightness

Hello, in my recent post (below), I neglected to mention that the pain is primarily midfoot and worse on the left foot. On examination by a specialtist and podiatrist, the area is not tender to palpation or stessing. My podiatrist is unable to "reproduce" the pain when examining my feet. Apparently, pulses are intact but there is altered sensation distal to the midfoot on both sides. (I am copying some of this information from a letter written by a specialist). He suggests that the pain is either neuropathic or an inflammatory anthropy. The pain increases as the day progresses and walking is very difficult. My "typical" neuropathy symptoms have pretty much disappeared - but I now have this situation - which - bizarrely enough - has restricted my activities even more than before (I ask myself - how can that even be possible - considering what neuropathy does to us and how it affects us). Any ideas anyone?
Christine.

Hello, the PN I have had in my feet for nearly 6 years appears to be almost gone (have been taking the suggested supplements), but for the past 18 months or so have been experiencing stiffnes, tightness and considerable pain in my feet (especially the left). My feet become increasingly tired as the day goes on.... My mobility is highly restricted and I am unable to go out at night - or even stay on my feet in the evening.

I have been having regular (about weekly) foot / joint mobilisations with my Podiatrist - which do help - and also generic type orthotics. I am about to have custon-made orthotics made to see if they provide more support...
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Could it be some type of rhumatoid problem?

Any advice / information would be greatfully appreciated!!

Christine.
