That is exaxtly what I have been doing. Sitting by the pellet stove in my Katherine Hepburn pajamas. By the way, I love brats. My mother is german/PA dutch and I grew up eating brats and sauerkraut. My husband too, he comes from a Polish family. I also love lobster, but don't care too much for blue crabs (which is rather sacrilegious when you live as close to the Chesapeake Bay as I do ).

So perhaps you know the endless prattle of Sue Palka on Fox 5 News. They are calling this The Blizzard of 2010.

Woke up to at least 16" of snow, drifting to twice that, and its still snowing.
Expecting another 12" or more thru tonite. Forecast is for up to 30" by Sun a.m.
Our 12" Beagle loves snow, but tried to leap into it in the back yard this a.m. and was in, over her head. She didn't know what to do, never has seen this much snow in he life. We live in a 1902 row home that has 5 steps up to the front door threshold, Winds drifiting the snow has piled it up, even with the 4th step, can't see any depression where the sidewalk shoud be. Some drifts outside the window are over waist high. We're just not used to this. I'm truly upset over the anxiety of trying to dig out (I'm waiting til tomorrow) . My PN & emphysema won't let me do much. I may not be able to do it -and hope that others will stop by to help, but that may just be nothing more than hope. My wife is 7 yrs younger than I & can do some, but she's not all that strong. We'll just have to wait & see how effective the city snow removal/plowing will be - but they hardly ever get to my street when its just a 1-2 inch snow. We may be stuck- except that - if necessary, the hospital will send a 4 wheel drive (hopefully not til tomorrow) for my wife- to get her to work, & once she's there, she's at the mercy of the gods as to when she gets home - sometimes not for 1-2 days..... or more.

I just came inside, hubby and I have been shoveling all day. He did the tough part, I just kept going over his work like a snow plow... It is still snowing!

Love the pics Bob... maybe I will post some that I took today.

Default Hey it's not just ONE weather twidgie?

They were ALL in their element for the last few days...
Loved the reports from a channel 7 reporter 'Stuck' and the venerable Amphora restaurant in Vienna. Geesh! If you're gonna get 'stuck' somewhere, best be in one of the best 'diners' in the area? NO?
You know you have bad snow when the Post office doesn't deliver!
Mrs D? I am gonna go on line and order those 'SAD' visors and in the meantime, hibernate!
Onward! Let's all slog on thru as best we can! OOOOH! How Suddenly I WANT/MUST go out NOW?! -j
