Default Making soap scares the enamel off my teeth?

As does the possibility of a kitchen remodel! Only way to make SURE things are done on time are from what I gather: 1-not change anything from the specs; and 2-include a hefty penalty fee for not completing on time.
From all I've read learned and heard of? Expect it to cost 30-50% more than originally estimated and/or to take about twice as much time! Got your microwave in another room? And, the complete list of order out menus? I've been searching for YEARS and have found a co that I mite allow to 'do' my kitchens or baths? But It just scares me to death about the COSTS!
Oh Brave one! Be brave and vent here! WE all need to know how to live thru such crud, we aren't as easily 'adaptable' as we originally were? And thus at times? Tend to have short fuses...w/remodelers this is NOT a good thing!
Hugs to you an yours for the 'duration'! ' be brave, It WILL BE OVER EVENTUALY! - j

It will be a huge project, even tho my kitchen is small....doggies have to go to daycare and that alone is a job! We are doing demo and floor install. Cabinets are ordered and the guy installing gave me a decent bid. We are doing the general contracting...(we have built several homes, so, yeah, we know about the overruns.) It is a face lift....no real moving of walls or stuff...new cabinets, counters, sink and floor. Hey the cabinets and floor are made in the USA! So we provided work for some fellow countrymen.

I am sure I will be worse for the wear....in one month it will be over. It won't get rough until Friday....that is the kitchen demo.

Soap? The danger is over rated....if you are reasonably safe with goggles, gloves and mask....it is fine. Yes, lye is caustic....keep it locked up and handle with care.

Kitt....my soap turned creamy white. It was pink when I poured it. Cool.
