Now THAT IS FUNNY!! You have them on speed dial.

I never thought of doing this. I thought they would just say yes to what we say and then blow us off.

And every time I pick up a newspaper it seems that some official is corrupt. AGAIN!!!

Makes me cringe.

Isn't anyone honest anymore?

Sigh!!!

I know it's hard to tell when I'm kidding sometimes, but I really do have their numbers in my cell.

They will blow you off if you don't live in their state or district (although they only know this by the zip code they ask you for wink, wink, nudge, nudge). But their staffers do keep tallies of the number of people who call about issues. Last summer, my congressman got word about a call I made and called me back personally!

And don't assume they're all corrupt, Mel. There are some good ones. Someone not taking bribes or kickbacks just isn't a news story.

Nothing.

And why is it that most people who think the government can't do anything right trust them with deciding who to execute?

Default Mel, are you in Jerry Nadler's district?

He's my congressman and he is fantastic!! Whether you are or aren't, I think your local rep would be more likely to be responsive. He reps the upper west side and, I believe, parts of Brooklyn. He's one of a few who has pushed for medicare for all. Puts many other congresspersons to shame.
