Hi myeamans
Saw your post. I have some of the same symptoms you describe. After much diddling around, my neurologist came up with a cream that is formulated locally. The stuff works. At least, for me. The makekup of this cream is as follows: amit-2,gaba-2,keto-5,lido-5, and lipo,120mg. I don't know if you can have this stuff made up where you are, but it's worth a try. Hope you can find it, and that it does you some good.

How about you JoanB? Have you found anything that is helping you yet? I hope you have good news for us.

I think it's so awesome that we can all connect like this on the internet and help each other out! There are bound to be hundreds or thousands of people that have exactly what one of us has and who knows what little piece of advice from one person could help another person.

Hi myeamans. For the burning feet, so far no progress. But maybe the epidural steroids are helping a little with my legs. I've yet to have my second injections, but I think there's a little improvement.

But here's an intriguing thing: the doc who is doing the injections mentioned that he has a new treatment to suggest (for which problem, I wasn't sure) but didn't want to talk about it during the procedure (appreciated that as I didn't want him chatting while he had a needle in my spinal column either). I can't imagine what he's got in mind, and didn't want to mention it here in case it turns out to be something that we've all heard about already and discounted, you know? None of us need any more false hopes. Anyway, when I do get to talk to him about it, I'll report back.

And thank for asking about me. You really are a very nice person!

What's everyone been up to? How are we all feeling?

Oh, I have a stupid question, how do you do the "thanks for this" thing on here? I see that periodically but I've never seen how to do it.

There is a button in the lower right corner of the posts. (but not in YOURS that you view of yourself). Just click it.

I am very hot, and uncomfortable, and using an ice pack all day on various parts of my anatomy!

Smile Neurontin

Neurontin (Gabapentin) 1800 mg. a day has stopped the burning in my feet. I am very lucky. I am now taking huge amounts of vitamins and Celexa and Wellbutrin. I suspect those two drugs are helping with the pain also.

Love your attitude!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have developed the same but it took me 12 years. Now I run, climb mountains and wakeboard. I just got home from a run and have my feet in an ice bucket, took a half dose of Lyrica and 50mg Tramadol while my wife get's ready for a movie were going to see Some days a really bad. I hiked a 13,356' high mountain that took me from 4am to 10pm to do and I paid the price for months. My feet swelled up so bad and the pain was intense. I remember thinking it's not worth the serious attitude but I got through it.

Good luck,
Marty

Quick update: had my first acupuncture session on Wednesday. I told him that all I want is pain relief and he said he can help. Well, of course he did. What I didn't expect is that he said I should notice some difference right away. So far, I haven't. If anything, the last few days have been pretty bad. I'm scheduled to see him again this coming week--I'm planning on giving him maybe 4-6 visits to see some results.

Scheduled to see the doc who said he has a new idea the middle of July.
