What do you have to say for or against MSM? Can it help to reduce pain?

I don't think this does much. But it does make for better hair and nails!

You might want to try some anti-inflammatory supplements.
The most common is grapeseed extract. I've used this for allergies for years, and just went back on it over a month ago.
(my feet have been hurting more since New Year's.)

You need substantial doses to get effects, like 300mg a day.
I hope you can get this where you are. I buy mine from two places, Puritan's online and also at Costco.

What I notice most is a reduction in burning sensations.
Grapeseed is quite benign, and I don't have any GI or other side effects at all. The more expensive is pycnogenols, which originally came from France I think. They have similar actions.

They carry the standard warning for patients taking powerful anticlotting drugs like Warfarin or Plavix. Studies don't show high effects for grapeseed, but this warning accompanies most herbal products.
