Default My NP symptomes

My symptomes

I need to go over my symptomes in the hope you guys see something i am not seeing.

The first syptomes of a upcoming neuropathie (at that time i didnt now it) i got somewhere around may 2009 the big tow of my left feet started slowly to get a little bit numm

Around november 2009 the fingertops of both my hands started tingling and some nerves in my right foot.

I stopped inmediatly with drinking beer and i have been drinking something like 3 or 4 bottles of 33 cl in the weekend not more then that.

The neuro i visited thought it would pass i had my doubts so i asked for a second opinion.
I still have to visit that second neuro.
I hope that this second neuro will determine what is causing this neuropthy

The bloodwork done by the first doc turned out to be ok.

I the mean time i went to the accapuncturist and he adviced me to take
lipo-acid 600 mg/day
L-carnitine 2000 mg/day
Fish-oil

and Q10.
I am also taking once a week one 5000mg of B-12 Metylcobalimine.
All these supplements i am now taking for a week

What are the symptomes at this moment
Left feet numm big toe and it feels like walking on bubbles
My big toe is not realy numm when going over it with one finger i am feeling everything

Right feet progressing nummnes in my toes and also waling on bubbles.
I have a warm feeling in my ankle
And a little bit of pain in my right foot.
The skin of my right foot used to be very sensative for a period of a 1,5 mouths but that also disppeared.

I had a burning spot between my shoulder blades and also on the upper part of my right legg

I have the feeling that i am missing 10 % feeling in both my hands and my fingertops are a little bit numm but only on one site,Sometimes i have pain in my hands but that lasts only 2 or 3 days.
I used to have a burning sensation on palm of both my hand including my lower arms but that somethimes returns.
What i am experiencing when doing some weight training is the stifness the next morning. Its almost if my body isnt able to remove the waste gasses that the mussles produce, very unplessant.

So even as my symptomes seem to progress i think i am right track with taking supplements
However is there not a more aggresive treatment.?

If if the reson i have this is neuropathy hasnt been ditermined by my first neuro but i guess alcohol has something to do with it
A second suspect could be a medicne i useed for 8 mouths (Dapsone) or i have a B12 deficiency.
If anyone would care to have a look at my bloodwork it would be much appreciated however in still need to

Dapsone is a drug with many potential side effects, some very serious.

This link lists them all:
http://www.rxlist.com/dapsone-drug.htm

Quote:
Peripheral neuropathy is a definite but unusual complication of Dapsone therapy in non-leprosy patients. Motor loss is predominant. If muscle weakness appears, Dapsone should be withdrawn. Recovery on withdrawal is usually substantially complete. The mechanism of recovery is reported by axonal regeneration. Some recovered patients have tolerated retreatment at reduced dosage.
Dapsone is a treatment for dermatitis herpetiformis....did you take it for that? This dermatitis is a gluten connected skin eruption. Have you been evaluated for gluten intolerance at all?

Your supplements may work, still... toxic neuropathies sometimes involve mitochondrial damage in the cells, and your list is typically used for that.

I would get Vitamin D testing too.

Between my 20-24 year i had a severe case of mouth ulcers so after 4 years the familiy doctor send me to a specialist how prescribed a drug that helped me allot.
After 2 years this drug was replaced with dapsone i cant remmeber how often i used then but i didt used it for more 20 years.
My mouth ulcers came back around november 2007 till june 2008.At that time i asked my family doctor to send me to a specialist but he refused, the only thing i could do is use this dapsone that was prescribed 20 years earlier.

I have tested for vitamine D last week still waiting for the results

If this is what is causing my problems what else cane be done about it except for taking the supplements?
