Would there be any benefit to adding N-acetyl cysteine to a supplement regime for idiopathic PN that already includes acetyl-l-carnitne, R-lipoic acid, coQ-10, Omega-3 krill oil, Benfotiamine, Mentax, Vit D3, and magnesium?

NAC stimulates the producation of glutathione, which is very valuable for PN and other neuro problems. If you were using drugs before your PN, like Cipro, or statins, or whatever, it may help. There are anecdotal reports of glutathione helping with fluoroquinolone (Cipro) damage.
NAC is not expensive so you can give it a try. Some people get a rash from it, so that would be the most likely thing to watch out for. Here is a good link with medical advice and dosage: http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/cysteine-000298.htm
