Default Anyone heard of this?

I found this post on The Neuropathy Association message board:

*edit*

It was posted 5-6-10 by someone named Mark and titled "NO MORE NEUROPATHIC PAIN". Does anyone here know anything about the TamiFlu medication being useful in relieving the symptons of PN??? MrsD? Wing42(David)? glenntaj? nide44?

Yes, Melody brought this question here too, based on information from her support group in NYC.

Here is a post discussing it, and Tamiflu:

Dan, we cannot allow posts from other boards because of copyright infringement rules. Sorry.

But the gist of the edited portion is that the gentleman's PN pain went away when he used Tamiflu.

This drug is not really designed for chronic use. And it has severe side effects potential. But it could be a stepping stone to research leading to an effective chronic pain blocking agent, that is safer to use.

Dan, could you invite this gentleman to come here and discuss this topic?

I saw this at the TNA BB, and posted the link to 'RxList" with advice to read the warnings and dosage info.
Severe side effects, & only to be used for 5 days.
