Default Pain Meds ???

Hello,
Have returned from VA hospital and would like to know what pain meds don't involve urinary retention and problems. My Urologists thinks Methadone is causing the problems with the Prostate. Methadone has done wonders for the PN pain, but prostate pain is worse. Next month he goes into the bladder for another look see. Had the TURP procedure done last May. Severe constipation in Dec brought this prostate discomfort on. After 4 years no longer take Lyrica, it quit working. Thanks

Default

I wound up with urinary retention while taking a pain med
(amitryptelene, maybe?- I forget - Lyrica moments) about 4-5 yrs ago.
I pointed the s/e out to my PCP and stopped taking it and was OK,
but my PCP now has me on Terazosin for prostate health and BP.
Every check-up she says the prostate is OK,
but still keeps me on it for the BP.
