The LymeRiX was pulled initially when many of the general population had crippling (and I mean totally debilitating) reactions to it. The lawsuits were ferocious, and the stories
extremely disturbing.

It was allowed back for forestry workers (Nat.park employees on a voluntary basis)...many of whom work for the Gov't, last I heard. The Glaxo company no longer makes it, and I couldn't find more details on this at short notice.

I suspect it is still out there in some form.

Lord, I hope they did not rerelease Lymerix in any form! I did not give it to my dogs either. Where we live now, isn't too ticky. Where we lived when I got it, ticks were as prevalent as ants. Awful...just awful....now deer ticks were more rare, but those wood ticks were everywhere. I have heard now, that Lyme is carried by many kinds of ticks.

I guess I should have raised a stink for IV antibiotics back then. Too late now.
