[QUOTE=Neuropathy_Hooray!;662243][QUOTE=rscowboy2005;662128]

Thank YOU!!! Don't suppose you've spoken with a neuro about the swelling/marijuana? I've totally stopped and miss the relief.

*** My (2nd!!) neuro inspires zero confidence in me and I will be changing again in a couple of months. She "doesn't do pain relief" -- only diagnosis and ???

MMJ works for some, not for others.
Street variety (not legal around here) - Sativa
makes me intensely aware and increases my pain,
then makes me hungry then sleepy.
Maybe good for evenings or bedtime but not for work-days
and working with power tools.
Maybe if I had the luxury to try a year's worth
of 50 different strains (one a week?) I might find
that some Indica may help, but that's a pipe-dream.

Hi OP I hope your neruo apt went good. I agree with others sometimes with specialists actually most time it takes awhile to get in. I often call every day to see if a cancelation. I hope they run more tests and you get some direction.
rscowboy my 2 neuros did very little with pain control meds/treatment. They would try a med or 2 and if they did not work kind of throw there hands up and why I saw pain doc/anestesolgist for that part.
Some of this thread confuses me which is not taking much these days. I guess everyone copes in a different way with health conditions. I have been through a variety of feelings and ways of coping. I guess I am learning it is important to face your feelings and work on ways to have the best life one can in a bad situation. Also staying in the day cause I am worry wort of the future and it does me no good cause I have to get through today. My pain doc tells me on better days do the most you can and on bad days do the best you can. Sending better thoughts to all
