Default Muscle ache

I have an ache in my left calf area. It bothers me when I walk or when I am standing. I do not feel it when I am sitting, in bed or walking up and down stairs.

Is this a symptom of PN? For years I have had PN, but only in my toes and front portion of my feet, just mumbness and discomfort but no pain.

Muscle pain in a lower extremity only when walking or using the leg is a signal of peripheral artery disease. I think you should tell your doctor and have it tested. They do ankle blood pressure first and if those are affected, then they do a doppler/ultrasound.

Peripheral artery disease may progress and block off the circulation to that leg, and you may develop a blood clot when that gets severe. So it needs evaluation.

When I had similar symptoms, I was dx'd w/ a ruptured spinal disk. I had no back pain, only pain in my calf which occurred in standing or walking. Prior to developing this, I had had bouts of sciatica which involved pain radiating from my butt down to my ankle.
