I have idiopathic small fiber peripheral neuropathy. All I've been offered was neurontin. I'm taking 1800 mg. a day and have been getting acupuncture which helps. The pain is really problematic and I'm having trouble with my balance and get very light headed. The neurontin gives me trouble with my short term memory so I'm looking for ways to minimize the need for drugs. I am wondering if anyone has tried high power laser therapy.

Is that the same as Low level laser therapy?
Also called Cold laser and soft laser?

Or is it something new, I haven't heard of it before.

They do high power laser therapy at Pinnacle Laser Center in Plymouth MN. I think there are only a few places in the country with this equipment.

This place in Plymouth, MN (Twin Cities suburb) referenced in the above post, is advertising quite a bit on the local radio and newspapers. They reference a website which makes it sound very interesting. (I can't post links yet). It is called The Pinnacle Acute and Chronic Pain Center.

I tend to be a skeptic, so wondering if anyone knows anything about this place, or the laser treatment they use?

I did send for more information, so maybe I can give more info once I get it.
