Default Gardasil vaccine

This is disconcerting. After watching my grandson endure two shots and a mouthfull of vaccine at his 6 month check up, it struck me that perhaps it is not good to be giving so much at once. The week that ensued was miserable.

Well, for young women, this is something to have a look at.....I am advising my girls not to get this vaccine, especially given the big push in Texas for example to make this mandatory! Profit motive? I know they failed to get it made mandatory, but it is disconcerting.

Sometime it is better not to be first in Lyne...oh, shucks, what was that about Lymerix? It is important to read this child's pre-existing conditions including a familial hx of SCA, however, the timing is rather uncanny in terms of when this vaccine was given. I wonder, on many of these diseases, I mean, if it is needed to SAVE LIFE, such as in tetanus....fine, as in H1N1 fine...but, just to because you can prevent some run of the mill disease....is it always a good idea?

BTW, I am PRO vaccine....I used to give them out....I am not antivaccine. Call me prudent. Maybe they need to do more of a medical history before they dole this stuff out?

The vaccines today are just not safe IMO.

Gardasil has some pretty awful stories coming out about it.

In fact Australia has pulled this year's flu vaccine for children under 5....too many babies very ill from it.

http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/fl...ml?from=age_ft

The same vaccine is being used here for children 6mons and up!

I am going to demand they break up my g-sons 15 month vaccines...I hear that is the worst....then I am on the fence for that 6 month flu vax...they have seasonal with H1N1.

I agreee the profit motive on vaccines is to compelling these days.

Some of this garbage I never heard of....many of these 'diseases' are nuiscance things.

Of course we are from the generation that GOT measles, mumps, rubella and chix pox....and all the other stuff they vaccinate for. That said, we know live in a world of 6.8 billion....times change...I dunno.

When my son had his vaccines to enter school (and there were many less of them too), at 4 yrs old, his leg swelled up to double size and he couldn't walk for 2 days. He needed Tylenol around the clock. This was just DPT. (and his neuro ADHD manifested after this time as well, in 2nd grade..a little after).

There is alot of concern that vaccines reduce our ability to fight other infections off. And we see that when people get their flu vaccine and then get sick right after. That is very common.

I haven't had a vaccine since 1976 when Swine flu came around.
I worked with the public and thought it was a good idea. I had Asian flu in college and that was severe! But I had reactions to the Swine one, and vowed never again. If some terrible pandemic comes that is REAL , not like the H1N1 manufactured hoohaa, I would get the vaccine. But it was have to be a big event with PROOF for me!

I couldn't have the H1N1 since I am on IVIG and IVIG destroys it....I was ambivalent anyway.

I got one flu shot back in the mid 90s and got so sick a few days later, that was it....man, I thought I would croak....interestingly this would have been after my Lyme infection.

My son got so sick on the vaccines the army gave him, he too, was swollen up like a balloon....he called me from the base just in agony.

Then this gson who is not biologically related to me was sick for an entire week. I looked up some of those vaccines and never even heard of the disease.

Again, the for profit motive doesn't meld well with quality health care. IMHO.

I had the Asian Flu in 1957. It was a doozy. I had the Hong Kong flu at the end of 1968; it was a real doozy, and I was 6 1/2 months pregnant. I'm sure it went thru my blood stream to the baby. The baby, now a man, was just fine. They told me that it was good that I was that far along.

In the 1990's I had what they called the AZ Crud. That was something else. Not really a flu, just something a person can get when you are out in that desert dust, etc. Many had it then.

My Mom got vaccinated for the Swine Flu in 1976 when that is what they called it. She was fine but a couple of friends of ours were not fine. They both got GB after they were vaccinated. Not good at all. Life was never the same. Now of course the H1N1 flu is not the same as the Swine Flu back then. It is different.

However, I will not be getting any flu vaccines and I never have. Of course, there were none for the flu's I had. And those two were and are considered Pandemics. One year they said that if you had had the Hong Kong flu, you had immunity to whatever type of flu they were vaccinating for. Probably true. I just try to stay away from obviously sick people or not, and wash, wash, wash my hands. I don't like colds either and I have not had very many of them.

My husband and I do not get the flu vaccines either. We do take probiotics though. He was exposed to agent orange in Viet Nam, and ever since he came home I've tried to build his immune system so he could resist any
complications from that. So far so good, neither of us has been sick in ages nor have we had the flu in many years.

My granddaughter was terribly concerned about giving all the shots to her baby when the time arrived; however, her pediatrician worked with her and spread out the shots over time so he didn't get them all at once. He's 2 now and doing fine.

Help

Last time I got a flu shot was in the 1970's. Have refused to ever since, come what may.

However, did get the pneumonia shot in 2005 without ill effect.

Some people are just highly sensitive to meds/vaccines. Too bad there's no way to know ahead of time which ones will cause problems.

Sorry for going "off human," but thought this might be of interest for those owning dogs:

The jury is still out in terms of annual shots. Although rabies vaccination is mandatory, used to get my dogs the three-year vaccine. Don't know what the deal is for cats - never had any. For my last two dogs, had a smart vet who recommended only three out of a possible seven. My dogs were never in close quarters with other dogs, and they never got any of the diseases for which dogs are given annual shots.

There are two serious fatal diseases now in cats, attributable to vaccines.

Feline vaccination induced sarcoma (cancer)

Chronic kidney failure (from distemper)

I only have one cat getting rabies now. Sheba is too old, never outside. Tippy has had 2 vaccine reactions, requiring hours of vet supervision. The last one was rabies (that is the only vaccine I get for them) and she almost died. (in 2009 before that vacation!) Now she has a NO VACCINE flag on her chart.
After the first one, we tried Benadryl before the rabies and that worked twice. But the last time, she reacted anyway!
It was pretty awful.

I think pet vaccines are not monitored at all. Quality control might be totally missing. I don't trust THEM either.

When our cat got old, there were no more rabies vaccinations for him. He was always inside and there were no bats in the house. The vet recommended this as well.
