I have been "lurking" for the past year. We live in Arkansas, and my husband has PN, which has gotten progressively worse in the past few years. He has seen seven doctors at UAMS and has been tested for everything, even had neck surgery with the hopes of helping his leg pain. He has taken all of the medicines which all of you take, latest being methadone, and none have helped with his pain. His walking has become difficult. His pain doctor has referred him to Washington University in St. Louis. Guess what I am wondering is---Anyone ever seen a doctor there? Is it worth the trip from Arkansas. God Bless each of you!!! Even though I have RA, I do not suffer the pain and suffering you have.

Everything I've read and heard about the Washington University/St. Louis Neurology Department has been very positive - don't know a specific neuro, though. Sorry.
Good luck and best wishes, Sheltiemom |
