Default Grocery shopping challenge

Hi folks,
Thanks so much for all the good thoughts and wishes. I'm still doing my three leg hobble but I decided I had to see if I could buy groceries while my husband is still up and around. So this morning I went to Walmart, parked in the handicapped area straight out front. Then I crutched in to the store. I used one of those motorized scooters with the basket and left my crutches with the greeter at the door. Scooted myself around and shopped. Some things were a challenge. Top shelf.. But I got checked out and then collected the crutches and rode the scooter out to my car balancing the crutches between my knees laying on my shoulder.

It was a problem because the marked isleway for handicapped access between the cars was all blocked by baskets. But I managed to push them all out of the way enough to get thru to my car. Unloaded my groceries and parked the scooter. Then crutched back to my car. Whew!! But it is doable. Just need a nap to recover. I do want to tell you tho..this moon boot is he** on feet with neuropathy.

Unhappy Just have a "Gloomy" feeling today...

You know when you are going to the doc for a "check up" and you just have a feeling of "doom"? I've had some new "symptoms" today and over the 3 day weekend and I'm not feeling so confident. Going to the doc in about 15 minutes and just insecure feelings are running through my head.

I just got a feeling of "who would be there for my girls if something ever happened to me?" I lost my mom a few years ago, and my girls are just now in their early 20's. Who would be there for them if I weren't around? I have a half sister, but she is so self absorbed, my daughters already don't like her because they see right through her.

Their dad is currently divorcing his 3rd wife, (darn, she was a keeper too!) You know, you think about what material things you would leave your kids, but it really makes you think about who you would want to give them "life" advice if anything happened to you.

This is something I will be thinking about over the next few days. I don't know why it came into my head, but it's something I can't let go of until I figure it out!

Thanks for being my sounding board.

Terri
