Default Oh Brother

Hi everyone.....I haven't posted in a while. The good news....the Lyrica and Tramadol have held my PN in place. The bad news? I have horrific arthritis in my neck and lower back. Oh....also the tinnitus....but that isn't important. I have extreme muscle tightness in my neck....radiating down my arm. I've had several injections...but the reality is....I am going to have to go under the knife. That...doesn't even address.....the major nerve pain around the outside of my knee.....my lower back is also very arthritic. This is so crummy. I just retired and I was hoping to have a healthy retirement...but....I am so much in pain with the back and the neck.....I am ready to just give up.

I get Botox injections in my neck and scapular area for the tightness and pain. If I'm lucky I can go 6 months relatively pain free there. Not all pain docs do it, my INS. Covers it as it is not cosmetic. Something to think about?

A year after my much anticipated retirement.......Suprise.......my prickley package came. Neuro sensations all over the body!

Gabapentin is doing the trick for now, but who knows how long it will continue!!

Sorry to hear of your additional problems though,"neuopathy plus" is a hard card to play.

Frown So sad

I married my new bride 5 years ago. We moved into our home five years ago. Since that time (and I am 61 and retired), I have acquired PN....which is handled very well with Lyrica and Tramadol (like you Bob)....but I have also developed terrible floaters in my eyes....sciatica on the outside of my right knee ( bad back). And now............my arthritic neck has taken center stage with searing burning pain down my left arm. Injections....ice...heat...orthopedic pillow....Saunders traction machine.....nothing works anymore.....Dang....I'm afraid I will have to go under the knife....it isn't fun anymore.
