So the last week the tingling & shocks in my feet were a little better, however a couple of days ago I started getting this feeling like my legs are conducting electricy from top to bottom. Kind of like when touching your tongue to a 9v battery, except it goes from the top on my legs to the feet and feels deep with-in the tissue. I assume this is myelin loss on my big nerves??? Should i be freaking out? Like i already havent.... But seriously, does this point to a certain diagnosis? I'm not having trouble walking but definately feel weaker from not working out.

I have developed a new sx over the last 2 months. I feel as though I have a tuning fork in my body, especially in my spine and it creeps me out. It is totally unpredictable and I cannot figure out when it will come on.
The only thing about it is that it is somehow linked to sleep quality. It develops or doesn't as soon as I wake up. If I wake up without it, I'll have a close to normal day (ie, normal for someone who uses a walker, etc.) But if I wake up w/ it my day is ruined. Is that what you're going thru? |

I do get random vibrations kind of like a tuning fork on occasion, but usually its feels like its somewhere on my skin and it goes away quickly.
Being an electrical engineer i know what it feels like to get shocked, and i swear it feels like my legs are a conductor in a circuit. I wonder if i wired up a light to my legs if it would light up . So am i the only one with this sensation? |

I have no dx. after a ton of tests, so no, it really doesn't mean you have a horrible thing, I am still buzzing, vibrating, prickling, etc, and it has been just about 2 years. Doc says he sees people like me about once a year (how comforting.) My cocktail is 900mg/gabapentin, 30mg/Elavil. and a daily ration of chocolate! |

So even w/ the cocktail, you still have all of these nasty sensations?
Also, the fact that my electrical/tuning fork stuff varies from not there at all to cerebral palsy-like vibrations is oddly enough, comforting. Because if the CP vibrations were constant, I'd have to take drastic measures. |

Before I had medicenes, I had a sensation every second (literally), one after the other, only stopping when I slept, starting back up the second I awoke. I nearly lost my mind when this all started, between the physical sensations and the neuros being perplexed (I saw 3 different Drs) and taking test after test, it was truely a nightmare. So 30-40 a day is a huge improvement, as there are a lot of seconds in a day! Now, I try to be grateful for what I don't have, it has helped me cope. I have had buzzing somewhere smack in the middle of groin and butt. It would just humm and vibrate (softly) but all day.
Went on for months but stopped after reducing meds. However my feet are flaring today Just seems one ending is quickly replaced with a new sensation just to keep me on my toes. Well come to think of it that would be impossible, any futuristic hopes as a ballerina have been shattered |
