No matter who pays the bills - I think I would contest the bill /days and tell the person in charge about it and ask- how this can happen??

No wonder everyone's costs go up if they are keeping pts beyond the normal and customary stay for procedures!

Almost sounds like a scam...of sorts - makes me wonder if this place does it often and never gets reported...or caught.
Your post is funny! But so true. The surgical team never came to check on me and wen I was told my surgeon was in shock to learn that I am in hospital 6 days later..... Well I packed my bag and demanded to be released. It was ridiculous. My son was being looked after by mum and mum wanted to go home, and then I was told I could have been released 4 days earlier because I did very well. I forgive them. My I surname is paying the bill thank goodness. I may end up owing the anesthetist some money as his total fee may be higher than what my insurance will pay but ce la vie. I'm alive and in one piece and I am very very grateful for that. I will keep you posted as to my progress and I appreciate the support.

Thank you!
