Hi !
I read so many sharing this problem of burning feet. So I decided to putforth my husband's problem. he was a smoker only for a couple of years. HE ACTUALLY DONOT HAVE other habits like taking alcohol or other things. But since a few years , may be 4 to 5 years, he started to complain of burning in the feet. He complains of muscle cramps especially thighs (a kind of squeezing, not exactly the spasm). He prefers to sleep with his feet uncovered as he feels it hot and gradual increase in burning if he covers the feet, even in cold season. He is not a diabetic. He always wash his feet with cold water before going to bed ( to keep them cool). he has very slight tremors in his hands some times (usually unnoticed and donot disturb his daily work). other wise all his other functions are normal. Not known to have other problems like hypertension, obesity, cardias problems etc, etc. Can somebody help! He is 36 years old! Thank you. |

Hi kiran,
He really needs to see a doctor and get some tests to find out what's going on. Doc

There are over 100 causes of PN.
You have to be a detective... look at food intolerances, impaired blood sugar (doesn't have to be frank diabetes yet) previous RX drugs that cause PN, toxin exposure, something mechanically wrong in the foot, some nerve compression in the spine, hereditary influences, nutrient deficiences, exposure to vaccines, autoimmune disease, thyroid disease, etc etc. You have to look at his life, recent past, in great detail to find the clues. He may need several tests, and alot of blood work.
