Hi Janet,

How long have you been on the Zocor? Has your doctor increased your dose recently. When have you had your last liver function tests? Please call your doctor before discontinuing your medication.

Rhonda :)

Rhonda,
I am in contact with my doc, I am just going to lower my dose and see if that helps. He is doing all the blood tests needed to keep an eye on any adverse effects of Zocor.
Thanks for your concern.
Janet

You can safely cut your dose in half and keep that lower level for a couple of days and then repeat this until you are off. Good luck

Since I have been on the Neurontin, I don't just have severe back pain, I have a roar in my head and such a ringing in my ears it leaves me in tears, I even called my Dr and asked if they could be side effects of the Neurontin and she told me NO

If you don't have an appt coming up soon with your doctor. Call her back. If you have accumulated research concerning these s/e's have it handy and read it off to her. Hopefully, she is willing to listen.

You shouldn't have to be taking something that is causing you such distress when she may be able to prescribe an alternative.

I have taken neurontin in the past but was not able to tolerate it. It's been a while but I do remember the ringing in my ears.

Good luck

Sometimes the ears will have noises because of muscle tightness and spasms in the neck. You can try this experiment:
Get some Magnesium lotion (Morton Epsom lotion) and rub a small bit in to the muscles of the neck on both sides, once a day.
I find lots of ear noise when my neck muscles are tight...this reduces (but does not completely go away) when I use the Morton's. You can get Morton epsom lotion at WalMart's or online at Amazon.com

It is really wonderful for other pains, and muscle issues. I use mine every day! It is so inexpensive, and works wonders!
