Well, I guess it's not so funny that maybe there are some poor souls who have been parted from their money for this nonsense.

Wink

Some sock makers (I think Hanes, but don't quote me, not sure) have relaxed fit tops. My son bought them because his socks were digging into his legs and making pain for him at work.

So this factor can be important...but one does not need to pay big bucks to get that extra roomy factor in socks.

Yeah, comfier is one thing...but this seems to suggest that they actually have a curative effect. It's more evil than funny, really.

Dr.Scholl's also makes socks advertised on the label to be loose fitting specifically for diabetes related neuropathy. I bought some for my father in law...he loved them. Oh, and they aren't anywhere close to $40/pair...so good news.

And no they don't cure anything...just feel better.

Well, I looked again, and those no-good, #$%@s! actually said it at the bottom:
Can Prolotex™ Socks Reverse Peripheral Neuropathy?
Short answer: Yes!
I tell ya, there is never a shortage of people who will capitalize on suffering. Why does that always amaze me?

Sadly, someone will believe them too.

I got some from FootSmart 4 yrs ago for $7 a pair and I can still wear them.
I also got 12 pair from eBay called 'World's Softest Socks' - I love 'em (Diabetic type)
http://cgi.ebay.com/Worlds-Softest-M...l%3FMyEbayBeta
about $20 for 3 pair.

They used some scare tactics too, especially about circulation. Very evil advertisment.
