i cannot answer your question.
I can say its been a few weeks since my last treatment and everything continues to be great:D |
I tried the laser therapy, and did not have very good success. I was able to "enjoy" about 2 or 3 hours max in the beginning. I honestly had problems "believing" after the first one and relaxing during the sessions. I think in order for it to "work", you really need to be able to relax, visualize, etc. I can't. I don't know why, but it seems like I am a skeptic.
In addition to the laser therapy, I had IV infusion as well. The first time it just about blew up my vein, and I was very, very bruised. The doctor then tried putting the "colors/lights" under my tongue. Again, not much help. I hope you are able to find relief, let us know how this works for you. I've also heard that the sooner you start treating, the better results. The longer the time is, the harder it is to "find" that combination for relief. |

I know on egineering forums i am on that when they find a good motor ( usually x5-7 price over here ) they sometimes band up and bulk order from an overseas supplier ie. to satisfy the minimum order Im assuming they have this too in asia so if we could buy from there ( if any one else is interested ) I think it would - hypothetically - be a nice cost cutter for those of us with a few pennies. just a thought. @robpp thats encouraging to hear - :) keep it up |

and if doesnt work I guess i can give to my dad as xmas present. :P looks my idea of hoping to find some sort of LLLT clone / THOR KO somewhere in asia has come to grinding halt even though Im positive I saw a few from 2 or 3 yrs ago. melon |
This is the sort of thing I was thinking ( though i see this requires 20 orders- I think ) and is also refurbished - so not new as i thought.
http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/...Model_120.html Any way if its cheap ( if ) then maybes its another option that wont cost a fortune for those who cant get it easily wherever they are ( provided theres enough folk interested ) . melon |

sorry for your suffering Patti. If you read my thread I have gotten relief. LOTS. With 20 treatments I increased my Test scores from the 30's to the 50's on both sides. I didnt 'visualize' nor was I instructed to. I closed my eyes and napped for the 27 minutes. I did get some vibration therapy after each session as well. Its all in the thread. I DO 100% agree that different people get relief different ways; however I find it hard to believe that i am the only one that this laser CAN or WILL HELP  eventhough my relief is NOT complete who knows what the future brings. I will add that I am on my 7th day of the IDEAL PROTEIN diet. Its rather extreme and the food is mostly terrible. but I have lost almost 8 pounds as of this morning. but it is more concerned with my % of bady fat reduction rather than a goal weight. I am shooting for 20-24 %. I go for weekly weigh-ins but not sure if they will scan for body fat weekly? until i go for my first one. good luck to you in finding help |

Just to avoid confusion - the proneurolight machine is a LED product not a Laser. I'll add LED to the title also, so new readers will understand that both types are being talked about in the thread. |
Hello,
I purchased the Raymax 4 diode laser from Amazon a week ago (48.00)and will try it for a while. Its laser and not LED. |
I don't have PN , I have myofascial pain & chronic repetitive injuries.
I got my Laser pen today ( http://www.amazon.com/Executive-PROL.../ref=pd_cp_e_3 ) Used it on my shoulders, the back of my neck and elbow, it does help to relieve my discomfort.:) I know the professional low level laser worked ( in my case) as my chiro has one, and uses it when I have specific sore spots. I wasn't really sure these little pens would do much, but for me - I can also say yes it did.:D |
Light Therapy / Infra red therapy
I have used this form of light therapy for the past five years. I have had PN issues for close to thirteen years and this form of therapy was recommended by both my neurologist and a pain management specialist. At the beginning I used the machine for 30 minutes nearly everyday. Currently I use it for 30 minutes about two times a week for the same effect. It in no way has eliminated the symptoms but it has lowered the level of pain. I do know if I go without following the treatment for over two weeks (which I did recently when my equipment was sent out for repair) that the pain levels went back up. Infra red light therapy works by improving oxygen exchange to the cells and thus improving circulation. Please keep in mind the equipment can be expensive and this was not covered by my insurance nor is it an approved form of therapy for those on disability. I hope this information will help.
