Alan says he's MUCH better ( his back I mean, and he says he can walk for longer periods).

So two down, one to go.

I hope you are feeling a bit better today.

And here's to making people think better of New Yorkers.

This afternoon, I was crossing the street and it started to rain. I had brought my umbrella (one of those BIG ones).

This young girl was carrying a cat (he was injured) in one of those animal carrying cases.

I simply walked over to her, put my umbrella over her and the cat and walked them down the block to her friend's house.

I gather no one had ever done her a kindness before. She just stared at me.

I said "I'm supposed to let you and the cat get wet?? and I laughed.

She started laughing.

We have to be KIND to each other in this world.

That is great Alan is feeling better though Joan I am sorry you are not. I hope you find a treatment that works.
I live in a part of South FL that a lot of people from NY in the winter come too. I have always found people from NY very friendly especially compared to some who live in FL all year. You too are a good example of people who are friendly. I like being able to joke with people in everyday life. It helps put a little cheer in the day if you can make small talk
