Default Bruise below left ankle

Recently I have had pain with what looks like a bruise on outside of left ankle below the bone. It is a roundish bruise, that has been painful when walking. I can't figure out what this is, have put cold on it. It subsides and then today when walking was hurting again. Unlike a bruise, it doesn't go away, so it may not even be a bruise.

Has anyone else had anything like this? I have a sensory peripheral neuropathy..
