Good evening,
I hope all of you are doing well and the only ailment you are suffering from is Spring Fever. I'm looking for a good B complex vitamin (low in the amount of B6) to take. The one in use now causes stomach upset (super B complex by Riteaid) and I cannot take it on an empty stomach. As I get most of my supplements from I Herb, would like info for a good Magnesium, Potassium supplement. Thanks Lanny |

Why the "low" B6?
My son gets heartburn and upper GI events from B-complex. I found a timed release super B100 formula at Puritan's Pride. He has no problems with it. But it is too strong for me. I use it 3 or 4 times a week instead. It has a delayed breakdown in the GI tract, and I don't see evidence in the urine for several hours, then it arrives. With regular B's you can have colored urine in a hour or 2. This one is "timed released" and lower in B6: http://www.puritan.com/pages/file.as...CID=21&CPID=98 This is a typical B-50: timed release http://www.puritan.com/pages/file.as...ID=21&CPID=849 This is the one I use: timed release http://www.puritan.com/pages/file.as...CID=&CPID=1290 I love the formula for me but the 100mg of B's is too much ..but used with skip days, it works well for me. I think if you choose a "timed release" product and take with food, you will find it easier to tolerate. My son who always had sensitive tummy issues, has no problem with the timed. I like the timed type because they are absorbed more slowly, hence stay in your system longer. I use Puritan's alot-- for my basic things. But there are many timed release B's out there now. If you don't find one at RiteAid--- try WalMart....they have a fabulous supplement section now---it is better than any chain pharmacy I have seen to date!
