Beware of Garments
Quote:
We choose only the genuine article,(ReBuilder) as cheaper socks may be contaminated with heavy metals and byproducts of manufacture. We also find they stand up to machine, clinic washings, conduct evenly with distal to proximal fabric density and current flow. Beware of imitations, and use only Medicare Approved garments, under the order or supervision of an experienced clinician. |
ok Mr. Rebuilder.......work on getting that price point down

So how many washings do you get from those socks before they deteriorate?
I would think Rebuilder would be concerned with the cold lasers out there as competition. Are you implying NDoc, that you use the Rebuilder IN the clinic, or you advise people to buy their own units? The Rebuilder has been controversial here, with not many advocates over the years. The Rebuilder control unit resembles an IFc unit. And the newly revised website July 15, 2011... claims they prevent blood clots in the legs (from sitting for long periods)? Are there studies on THAT? I would like to know more about that feature. |

As a clinical group, we have been using the ReBuilder as part of a treatment Protocols in our Neuropathy** Clinics across the country since 2008. I have no concerns about cold laser whatsoever. It's not about competition, simply about what works best for each of our patients. Personally, I find the ReBuilder excels when properly utilized under a clinicians supervision. If the patient has a favorable clinical trial, we advise they purchase a home care kit. With regard to garment washings, the clinic duty cycle is far greater than home care. We have sets last 90 days or more with almost daily usage and machine washings. This is extreme, under normal usage they should last considerably longer. Our clinics are very happy with the technical and product support from the factory. |
I went to the Rebuilder website, and found a graphic that
supposedly explains PN.... nice graphic. But no proof it is accurate. Then I found some YouTubes, on this subject, that the gentleman giving, says ...."we believe this is how the Rebuilder works... since nothing else explains it". Also on the ReBuilder site is the claim that the Rebuilder prevents blood clots in the leg. So what we have is theory only with a fancy graphic. And a long history here over the years, where some people have had less than spectacular results from ReBuilder... and now it is coming around again? The ReBuilder website was just updated July 15, 2011. I wonder how the FDA would respond to the claim that ReBuilder prevents a serious common medical problem , blood clots? They require proof of that you know. Why, if this claim were true, people getting joint replacements would be on the ReBuilder in the hospital and not on Lovonex or heparin therapy. The ReBuilder would be in every nursing home across America! I wonder if TSA would even let someone take a ReBuilder on a plane as suggested! Yes, I can see a chiropractor, suggesting the patient BUY their own unit. That is the goal after all. |

I'll let you discuss website content with the manufacturer if you like. You do raise a good point, and I accept that. Keep in mind though the venous and muscle pump activity generated by a DC signal component in the device is what is advocated to reduce the risk of venous thrombosis, and helps explain why vascular patients get relief of their accompanying PN symptoms in many cases. As clinicians, we only advocate clinical trials first. ReBuilder Purchases are only made upon request by the patient, only dispensed by us if they have proven clinical benefit. And you'd have to count the thousands of MD usages and prescriptions for the ReBuilder too, and many prescribed by PTs, DNs, DMDs etc. No need to insult only the DCs. No one else has yet demonstrated better answers as of today to help the misery of PN patients. That's why we use this device among others to help wherever it's effective. *moderator edit* |
