Hey, what ever works for you! Nobody here is going to laugh, and somebody just may get some relief!

The AC window unit is on my side of the bed and blows directly on my feet, which makes them a little too cold. And after 24 years, switching sides is not an option. On the other hand, like many of you, I can't stand sheets/covers on my feet.
But at the Costco the other day, I was looking at the stack of empty boxes by the checkout and noticed that some of them really just consist of four corners with no sides. So I brought one home and am trying it out as a "tent" frame for the sheets. I know that there are metal contraptions you can buy, but the one of those that someone gave me is not for a deep mattress and wouldn't work. Anyway, this one was free and the only modification I'm thinking of is attaching something soft like foam rubber on the edges.

When I went to Cleveland Clinic pain program we had a class on how to sleep in terms of positions, pillow, etc. I guess it was to help prevent problems from laying weird or relying on body parts. I could not follow the guidelines though cause of my pain. Sometimes it is just about getting through the best you can.Since my condition happened I have slept on my back and don't move. You could put a penny on me and it would be there when I woke. I am stiff as a board. That is if I sleep.
Mrs D I agree with you 100 percent. It is furstrating. |
