My mom suggested this for me. I am mixed on it. If it gives relief though I would rather have a high feeling then the I want to chop my leg off from pain feeling.

Mel sorry to hear about Alans sister. You know genetics I was thinking a lot about. I don't know my real dad or his side of family and so when the doctors ask me about families healthy I come up with a ? mark. I think the genetic testing is a good idea even after 22 years. It could stop further damage or problems.

Nide you have good insight. I have family members who are in denial too. It is really frustrating to me and I try to figure out why.

AHHH, denial. read my thread on '.Yes...BUT..I'm different...."
Its also the:
"my symptoms are different than yours cause my problem is worse than yours - you only have PN, you look great- I, on the other hand am suffering terribly"
And their doctors are better than yours, or they are the worst, but they won't change.

Have Alan tested for genetic history.
BTW, does he have any past relatives that are Middle European? German, Polish, Russian, any of the ...vakia's, etc?
Hmmm interesting, Im serbian or former yugoslav. My mother had had F/M and parkinsons .. sounds like a rocky road ahead for me... Ppphhttttt! but Im different you see
