Default Antibiotic nerve damage

About 7 years ago I had a terrible reaction to the fluoroquinolones. I was left with neuopathy from head to toe. My nerves never recovered but gradually got better. I recently took bacterium for a uti. Towards the end of the treatment I got head neck jaw ache. On the last day my nerves flared up. The day after that my whole body started burning. My skin is sensitive, burning, icy hot pains. I seem to have damaged my nerves again. Its been almost a week now since I quit taking the antibiotics but the pain persists.

I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to help it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Some people are allergic to sulfonamides.

You could try strong antihistamines to see if it helps.

If you exposed yourself to UV radiation in a tanning bed or outside it could also do this, as this drug is photosensitive.

Benadryl would be the first to try. Or you could get Atarax from a doctor. Both of these are strong enough for skin reactions.

Drink alot of fluids to help your body get rid of this drug. Since it is long acting it still might be around some. Extra water also protects your kidneys...which sometimes flare up with Sulfa drugs.
