I've lost most of the hair on my legs below the knee. My doctor says that the hair loss is caused by my Small Fiber Neuropathy.
Has anyone else experienced this? |

I sure have. I don't have to shave my legs anymore. But with age I think you lose hair other places as well such as underarms, hair on your head thinning, etc.

I lost most of my leg hair when I was hypothyroid.
Once that was corrected, 1/2 of it grew back. My lost arm hair never returned --but I don't miss that. I think once the menopause is over, much of the body hair goes for women, as well. The only hair that seems to like older women however is on the chin.... I sometimes think all the old hair follicles moved there for me! LOL

Well, I am sorry that this is happening to us, but I am glad to learn that it is a known symptom, and not something I have to try to treat or see a doctor for.

I have noticed hair loss, too. I thought it is attributed to age. My age is 63. I shave about once a week now. In my younger day it would be every other day in the summer months. I have dark thick body hair so mine shows more.

Yup. Looks pretty funny on a 56 year old man too. I occasionally toy with shaving off what remains so that both legs match. Haven't gotten around to it yet.
