I think very strongly that my whole body numbness is from a viral infection I had almost a year ago, so let's just say that is what is causing this, if in fact it is do I need to have treatment such as IVIG or can I just do nothing about this and maybe one day it will clear up on it's own, or can cortisteroids help the situation? and if I do nothing can my what seems like just sensory neuropathy turn into autoautomic(sp?) problems? Thanks for your thoughts you guys are so great! Blessings, Jan

Some viral things resolve.
Some do not... Herpes Zoster is one example of a residual problem that may go dormant and then reactivate. So without knowing what viral assault you had? It would be difficult to predict.
