Default Adventures in PN....

U-Haul® used to (maybe still does) have a slogan: Adventures in Moving. Having moved via U-Haul several times, it's become a family joke that what that really means (and should say) is ORDEALS in Moving. Hence whenever I see/hear the word "adventure" my mind immediately thinks "ordeal", and that's pretty much my feeling about most of the medical issues/mysteries I've had the dubious "pleasure" of enduring....

So, here I was... going along feeling... better than I used to about my PN. In fact, not even thinking about it much, which is really saying something! I think I've pretty much stopped its progression, controlled most of the pain issues, and it even feels like some of the feeling is returning to my toes & feet - maybe some neurogenesis is actually occurring - I don't know for sure.

Then yesterday, out of the blue.... BAM! I get a sensation like something extremely heavy fell on (or like I severely stubbed) two adjacent toes. We're talking level 9 here - enough to make me yowl - but fortunately only for a minute or two, and then dissipating entirely. The best phrase I can think of (at the moment) to describe it is, "extremely rude." I have no idea where this sudden accute pain came from except out of nowhere. Never happened until then, and it happened about a dozen times throughout the day. What the cuss is THIS about It's like my PN is singing that Simple Minds song from The Breakfast Club.... "Don't You.... Forget About Me..."

In the words of Gilda's Roseanne Roseannadanna, "It's always something!"
