Forgive me, I know this has been discussed prior - I'm having a brain blurp....
Can someone remind me what supplement or meds you use for these horrid things. I posted this over here, even tho it doesn't have anything to do with neuropathy, because this is where supplements are discussed the most. Thanks my friends! I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving Rae ![]() |

I just did a search of all of NT for spasm supplement. It appears magnesium may be what you're looking for. There are many threads/posts; here are a few:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...asm#post163228 http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/post130389-25.html http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...ent#post100393 You can also Google: spasm supplement and find many more suggestions. As far as prescribed meds, I've tried/used Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine), Valium (diazepam), Robaxin (Methocarbamol), Soma (carisoprodol), Xanax (alprazolam). All have worked well, (Valium and Xanax are generally used as tranquilizers, but also work as muscle relaxers) but some can pack a wallop if you're not used to them. Doc

Recently I had back spasms every second all night long. It was strange because they would move to different places, bouncing around, and not just on my back. Sometimes it was shoulders and face. Luckily the next day they had completely vanished.
I don't know why they came or left. Perhaps the pure magnesium chloride I have every day did the trick. MgCl is extremely powerful and 30-minute soaks can work wonders. They can help for therapy or regular maintenance. |

Thank you for your input!
I was thinking it was Magnesium, but wasn't sure. Thank you Dr.Smith - You did all the homework for me! ![]() I'm currently on Baclofen (which if I remember correctly, it's a med used to treat MS). Has anyone else been on this? |
