ZMan -
I too had surgery and about 8 days later had bilateral peripheral neuropathy symptoms. I am 40 now and was in good health prior to my gallbladder being removed laparoscopically. The surgery was 13 months ago. We have found no definite cause and I have been through 3 neurologists, a Olympic size pool of blood has been removed for testing, etc... I am pushing to go to Mayo in MN since they seem to have a possible remedy, but not sure if too late. My PM symptoms are in mouth, hands and feet primarily; and back, arms, chest and legs secondarily; I am on 3000 mg/d of gabapentin which provides some relief. It is tough. |
