I just was reading about sciatic neuropathy and was wondering if that might be it as I've had ( and do now ) had problems with my sciatic nerve for years. The burning in my feet/calves starts when i sit for a period of time, can get up walk around or whatever and they dont' bother me . I've also had plantar facsiatis (sp) in the past ( which I read folks that have had that also have neuropathies later sometimes or that is a pre condition to neuropathy) . If anyone has any advice or help on this I would certainly appreciate it as I feel I'm trying to research this as the doctors dont' seem to do so that I 've seen so far here in N.C. Thanks Elizabeth

People with PN can have compressive issues. This means the nerves may be more touchy to compression than nonPNers.
I purchased a memory foam wheelchair pad from Overstock.com that is quite thick. I was having muscle stiffness and aching from sitting at the computer. Now that I am retired, I sit more, and I do work on NeuroTalk for long periods, etc. This pad has been wonderful. Chair height is important for me too, I need to keep my thigh parallel to the floor, for example. I think PNers have different triggers. So there won't be one answer fits all to a question like this. People with lumbar issues, or piriformis syndrome may have many more symptoms sitting than those with ankle compression, for example.
