Default Question about the new once a day time-release Gabapentin called "Horizant"

There is a new once a day 600 mg time release version of Gabapentin called "Horizant".

Does anyone have any feedback or comments regarding this drug, or thoughts when comparing it against Lyrica taken at 100 or 150 mg per day?

Thank you!

We had a brief thread here a few weeks ago.

The big difference between Horizant and regular gabapentin in my mind is the alleged increased bioavailability (rather than the timed-release aspect). It's still gabapentin, so I don't know that comparison with Lyrica would be any different.

I think the whole idea was to squeeze another patent or 3 out of what is now a generic medication. As Lyrica approaches patent expiration, I won't be surprised if they suddenly announce new timed release and more bioavailable versions of that (as well as some new 3G medication).
