I have lived in many climates from MI to FL to CA and I am in 24/7 pain everywhere but in harsh weather conditions I do have flare ups in pain and symptoms that are worse. Each of the places I have lived I noticed with the different weather my symptoms of flare change whether it be frozen limb or severe swelling etc. All of course come with pain.
Fireball that is interesting comment about the pool. I say that about the bath. |

although hot weather is just as bad for me as I burn constantly but a wee trip across the pond would be good. My hubby wants me to do Route 66 for his fiftieth next year, he has next to no chance I might just manage our M6 motorway instead to England! |

Well - you know the Pixar Cars movie; route 66; we have a Baby Blue '64 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertable and a my hubby is restoring a Hardtop '64 Ford Galaxie 500XL... who knows what sort of road trips may be part of our (this could include you and your hubby - a social pn'er exchange vacation)... of course my dream has been to do it (route 66) by horseback(okay I might be a bit mental....but my car-freak hubby agrees (not that i'm mental that it should be done by horseback) )........ |

I think the weather has a lot to do with pain levels of PN, when we have low pressure systems my legs seem to be in more pain and when it is too hot my feet seem to burn more, so we can't win either way. Such is life.

I thought i would share my husband's experience when it rains. It has to be a hard rain. He then will sigh and go "Ah, it must be raining, my pain just left". Happens every time. I'm beginning to believe that our bodies react to atmospheric changes in very bizarre ways. Some people hurt when it rains, my husband's pain goes away when it rains. God only knows!!! Melody

Interesting, I had wondered about this connection. I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy (affecting primarily my ulnar nerve in my left arm) that seems mostly stress related. When it's flaring, I have noticed that rain seems to make it worse. Now I know it's not just my imagination

Hi there Adelina, thanks for the welcome I originally stumbled upon NeuroTalk because of my searches for information concerning a concussion so finding this section about peripheral neuropathy was a nice bonus. My response started getting lengthy so I'll just send you a pm.
