Confused Problems recently with speech.

Does anyone know if neuropathy can cause you 2 stutter? I have peripheral neuropathy of the feet & legs severely. U never have a second of relief. The pain is a 10+. Recently it has spread 2 my hands & arms with itching & I've noticed that I'm stuttering alot. My brain knows what I want 2 say but my mouth can't find the words. Any answers greatly appreciated.

Yes, I know what you mean. Same with me.. I always thought it is because of lyirca I am taking cause it says in guidance note that it could be a side effect of the drug... what are you taking?

Question

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

My first impression is that you may be on a drug that is causing this? Neurontin, Topamax are very impairing. But there are others like antidepressants which sedate people in various degrees depending on the person.

I think we need to know more about you, and your PN progression details.
