Default Muscle pain

I've had PN for about 5 years now - no firm diagnosis but suspected to be an alcohol or hereditary cause. My main symptoms have been sensory - burning pain in soles of my feet. Very fortunately this has gradually improved over the last three years (no drinking and supplements may have helped).

However I've suspected for some time that I no longer had normal levels of strength in my arms. For some months this winter I had what felt like a frozen shoulder and then recently I lifted a garden pot and straight away a muscle in my bicep felt as though it had strained itself. Last week I did some decorating and since then I've had random but persistent aching and stabbing pains at specific points in both biceps and one shoulder, mid-calf and mid-thighs (I've had pain in the thighs previously).

Its all a bit disconcerting to say the least. Please can anyone offer any advice or information about these symptoms, which I assume are PN related.

Well, frozen shoulder is fairly common in diabetics.

So I'd look to sugar control as one culprit.

I can have lots of muscle issues. I've found that magnesium either in oral form (not Oxide form) or in lotion form really helps this.
Also D-ribose also gives me a muscle boost.
