Default Ip6

Has anyone heard of ip6? Can it be derived from natural rice bran and other foods and does it help with PN?

Lightbulb

IP6 is also called inositol.

This nutrient is helpful for some people who have OCD or extreme anxiety issues. It is also recommended for people who have pre-diabetes or diabetes.

My husband takes it for anxiety in gram amounts.

Mostly it is a metabolic stabilizer. A special form call d-chiro inositol is available now for polycystic ovary patients with low fertility and it helps them conceive. I took it for 2 years, and it did lower my androgen levels (less chin hair) but did nothing for my A1C or blood sugars ...and it was $60 a month!

Taking too much may make you too "emotional" so don't take really high doses past a gram a day.

I don't think it directly affects nerves in PN, but it can't do any harm.
