Anyone find over the counter pain pills that help with PN. If so, what?

I use 3 OTC products and rotate them.
AlkaSeltzer original formula Aleve liquigels Generic Tylenol (acetaminophen). I don't take every day. Some days when I know I will be doing ALOT physically I take the generic Tylenol in advance. I use Aleve more for my arthritis. I use the AlkaSeltzer for the burning sensations in my feet. Sometimes I just feel "hot" all over, and I take it then too. For really severe OTC pain... AlkaSeltzer works for me well. When I strained that adductor tendon on vacation, it was the only thing that worked for me. Tylenol and Aleve were useless. When I feel really rotten and need to lie down, it is AlkaSeltzer time! ![]()

Ive been taking ibuprophen and benadryl. I worry about the long term side effects of using these. However, I do limit myself. The ibuprophen I will only take once a day and onlyvif I'm having a bad day. I take 50 Mg of benadryl everynight. I started doing this because a nurse practicioner told me that would help with anxiety but it also seems to help with my PN for some reason.

I found that since most of my discomfort is in my feet, that what I wear on my feet makes a big difference. If your shoes and socks are putting pressure on nerves, you can tell by taking them off and then finding more appropriate foot wear. The pain and discomfort that crawled up my right leg in the beginning is a very rare occurence now since I wear crocks and flip flops, and looser socks if I have to. You still may need to take something but finding out if your nerves are being restricted could also help.
