The amount absorbed from magnesium oxide is about 4% in studies.

Mrs D,
my Epsom-It lotion arrived yesterday. Will it affects the absorption of my other medications just like when you take magnesium orally?

Thank you.

Applying to the skin will not affect anything taken orally.

Mrs D, I missed the discussion about Magnesium interfering with meds.

Will Natures Calm interfere with the Gabapentin I am on?

Yes, gabapentin is poorly absorbed and using it with magnesium at the same time will complex it into a form even with less absorption.

This interaction is usually provided on your receipt/ drug info sheet given at the pharmacy, or a little label sticky may be put on your bottle as well.

Oh, thank you Mrs. D, as always!
That would be good --- I can apply anytime I need it....

I find that using it right before bedtime, helps me sleep so much better. (less awakening to sounds and noises etc). Our cats run around at night and now with the bedroom cat window open, they go in and out all the time.

I wait a few minutes before lying down, so the lotion has a chance to be absorbed, and not rubbed off on pillows or sheets etc.

Ionic

I too have had success with Ionic fizz (thankyou mrs. D.) However I am concerned about the sugar content. Last time I went from the rasberry to the citris and have it with skim milk and a drop of vanila extract. Yummy. I also often use ebson salts.

My Ionic Fizz has stevia in it.

I don't know about the other flavors however.
