What is present in, or missing from, my diet that is causing me to have brittle fingernails? I recently cut back my magnesium by 2/3. Could that be related? Is lack of calcium a possibility? (My calcium tests are usually normal.)
Thanks! |

Nervous,
There are so many things that can cause brittle nails, from dietary to wet/dry cycles to aging/menopause (hormonal) to thyroid imbalance (hypo and hyper) and many, many more. It might be better/faster to just google: brittle nails causes treatment and see what looks likely. Nobody knows you like you. ![]() Doc
