I have occasionally used the prescription diet drug "Phentermine" in a dose of 37.5 mg / day for weight loss.
While it works great for weight loss, I perceive that my small fiber pain seems to increase while on the drug, in addition to my getting some ringing in my ears. Can anyone comment whether this is a real effect caused by the drug? I know that it affects mental state to decrease hunger (and mental state seems to affect pain perception), and I wonder if it might be intensifying my perception of pain as it speeds everything up (as it is like an amphetamine)? Thoughts? Thanks! David |
