Smoking affects blood circulation, and therefore will affect nerves. If they do not get enough oxygen and/or cannot remove products of energy metabolism, they will suffer.
Also there are many toxins in cigarette smoke. Males who smoke tend to have more intermittent claudication of the legs. But women can get this too from smoking. Smoking is vasoconstrictive, so hence not good for nerves.
