Many years ago I had a Hepatitis B hit on a blood test. Test was redone and same result.
Doctor concluded I fought off infection and I am not contagious. I have not brought it up at my PN appointments as it was never asked.

Could this be a factor?

I'd recommend Lyrica over Gabapentin any old day! Besides, it doesn't cause the water retention that Gabapentin usually does! At least it's not as severe!

Thanks for mentioning it, Malawigirl08. Take care all. Hugs, Lee

I did have water retention from Gabapentin and got put in Lasix, a diuretic.
I have to fill out paperwork in order for insurance to pay for Lyrica due to higher price.

Do you take Tylenol (acetaminophen/paracetamol) or any meds with acetaminophen/paracetamol as an ingredient?

Possible but not definite. I'd let them know about it.

off topic, but i had to get hepatitis b vaccine in early 90's for job and even with boosters the two years after it never took. i told them at that point that i refused, caused a stir but i never took one again. i wonder if i was just naturally immune.

Here is an article with statistics explaining the connection between liver disease and neuropathy:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC493959/

It is apparent that only some with liver problems have PN.
