I definately understand why you are so frustrated. I have "passed" all my tests, yet have burning, tingling, parathesias, loss of sensation in hands and feet. I have had EMG's, skin biopsies...all normal. I have no motor weakness, but have visible fasticulations which start in my feet. I can actually induce them just by touching bottom of my foot. Hang in and keep doing your own research.

Anyone with fascics should try improving magnesium status.

This can reduce the muscle sensitivity quite a bit since many people do not consume the RDA for magnesium anymore.

Other possibilities are MGUS, which thickens the blood.
And also CMT, which is genetic. CMTers may develop muscle wasting and other declining issues.

People with MGUS often are difficult to diagnose.

Hi, I've read alot about this, and as I understand it is possible to have symtoms of neuropathy and show normal on the EMG/NCV. I will try to find the source of my understanding and get back with you.

--of neuropathy predominantly or exclusively of the small, thinly myelinated or unmyelinated fibers that subsume the sensations of pain and temperature, and also many autonomic functions, EMG/NCV studies will be normal--the nerves affected in these cases are simply too small to be measured by that technology (at least currently).

Other tests can be used to diagnose small-fiber neuropathy--qualitative sensory testing, sudomotor axon reflex testing, or the current gold standard, skin biopsy to determine intraepidermal nerve fiber density and condition. None of these is likely to reveal a cause, though--just that the nerve fibers are compromised.

Hi Liftyourhands, have you had skin biopsy? May I ask what was the result - negative or positive?

I have had EMG/NCV and skin biopsy, both negative but I have very unpleasant sensations in my skin. The pain in my feet is going up the knee.

Anyone Know of Any Doctors that can start anew and fully exmine you from head to toe?

I had good chiro treatment after my accident but made the mistake of working during the same time and injuries got worse. Does anyone know of any doctors/specialty doctors that I can see to be fully examined from head to toe and start afresh?? Thanks. I called people but cannot see to find anyone to go to to be fully examined.

Can things be picked up months after?

My injuries from my car accident did not heal and felt things over the months and things have changed a lot particularly in my neck. Can anyone tell me who i may need to be seen to have things checked and could things be determined this far out especially with nerves, muscles etc...? My injuries got so bad that the back ligament was strained and then things came apart and my curve reversed. When I tell people what I have felt like strings breaking across chest, things tearing from neck down to the belly button they look at me dumbfounded.
