Hope these links work, not very good at this.
The last link also interested me as you know l have had Restylane Vital injected into my face and was hoping that the R-ALA would work on getting it out of my body, is this what they call chelate therapy of some kind?

Doc,
How much RLA do you take every day? Also, just to be clear . . you are referring to R Lipoic Acid. Correct?

Yup. 100 mg/day, like most folks.

I was taking it every day for 2 months and now will try and wean myself off them and then try stopping them for a few weeks to see how l feel.

You can try stopping it, but I don't know of any reason you'd need to wean off of RLA -- it's not dependence producing in the medical sense (causing withdrawal if stopped abruptly). I know if I stop it, the burning pain will return, but that's from the PN. Since it's a natural and endogenous, I have no qualms about taking it as long as I have PN (which may be for life).

If l am feeling fine without them, meaning not getting any hot hand or feet then l guess my neuropathy isn't really progressing.
That doesn't necessarily follow. Static neuropathy can still produce pain & symptoms.

While we are on the topic of vitamins, l suggest to a friend of mine to order some doctors best R ALA, and LA from iherb and she told me that the supplements are encased in something that is not good for our health. Do you know anything about that? Not sure what to advise her and now l am starting to wonder myself if this may have long term health effects.
Where do people hear these things? Here's the ingredients: (click on Ingredients tab)

Which one is it that's alleged 'not good for our health'?

There may be some supplements coming in from questionable places in the world that I might be concerned about, but this isn't one of them.
